The Veterans Administration (VA) administers certification for the Veterans First Contracting Program . This program supports both Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and applies only to acquisitions made by the VA.

For all other Federal Agencies, the SBA has established a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern program (SDVOSBC). There is no formal certification required, but if you self-certify your company as SDVOSBC on SAM.gov, you are confirming that you and your company meet all eligibility requirements .
