Department of Transportation Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

The DBE Certification External link is awarded on a state by state basis External link and should be considered for qualified companies External link seeking to contract on projects funded by the Department of Transportation.

DBE Certification is also recognized by some State and Municipal governments that have set aside contract goals for minority and women-owned businesses. Many times you can find out if your State recognizes the DBE by contacting the Office of Economic Development or Governor’s Office for your State.
